Week 8 in San Blas

Excerpted from Jaden's 8/15/2016 email:

"Hey everyone! I'm going to be honest, there really isnt much to report on this week. This past Tuesday was pretty great though. We had our zone conference and I got to see a ton of the guys I came into the mission with. Its actually crazy. We originally were 7 Elders. I recently found out one of them got sick though and had to go home. Out of the remaining six, five are all out in San Blas now. Our Zone conferences here in San Blas usually consists of going fishing and hangn out. Its pretty sweet. I really enjoy them. Our zone is pretty cool. I think I mentioned that San Blas attracts all the goofballs in the mission..well in my zone pic I guess you will all see why. My whole group from the MTC is pretty goofy. When I got back to my area of Ukupa things went downhill though. I became really sick and was unable to get out of my hammock for three days. The side effects were aweful and honestly not a very pretty picture so I wont go into depth. What I will say is that I was so weak and sick I struggled to brush my teeth. The same day that we got back from the zone meeting our district leader started divisions. Turns out his companion was sick too and we just stayed home the three days and slept while the others worked. Our companions got us a boat to go to the hospital located on the other island of Playon Chico. There we got medical care this past Saturday and are still recovering. They didn't tell us what we had but I don't believe it was anything serious. Possibly a bad flu. That has been going around the villages a lot lately. Oh..almost forget. Wednesday around lunch time I did try a new food. I ate iguana. For those of you that have ever eaten frog I would say the texture is very similar. I wasn't too impressed honestly. I still would say sea turtle is one of the best meats. Hopefully we will be able to go back to our areas soon. I probably could go tomorrow but I guess we will see. Oh..I also just wanted to say that the old disabled man that missionaries cared for in Irgandi passed away. The missionaries helped him bath twice a day, go to the bathroom daily, get to church, and even just provided company with him for over 20 years. I got to see him a few days before before he passed. One of the last things he said to us is that he knows hes ready to return back to heavenly father. I know all of you aren't as afflicted as Crespo but I hope all of you have that same desire for something better than this world. I testify that as good as this life may seem or as terrible, it will be utterly unproportional to the glory that we can obtain in the life to come. Well..I don't have a whole bunch else to write. I hope you guys have a good week!! Love you guys!"

Info on the zone pic..
The missionary on top of the shoulders of the other guy is Elder Aycock. The missionary under Elder Aycock is Elder Green. The guy with the blue and orange striped tie is Elder Brimhall, and the other missionary on the edge with the blue and white striped tie is Elder Ricks. You can probably find me in this pic. My comp has the sunglasses."

Excerpted from Jaden's email home 8/16/2016:

"I got permission to get on and tell you I made it back to my area. In total I was in my hammock for 6 days without doing much. Ya. It was pretty rough. I still don't feel that great but have medicine now to take. I hope I get better soon too. I'm also going to send more photos I didn't get the chance to do. I cant leave the house today anyways."
