"Hey everyone! This week has been pretty good. Its gone super fast. Mostly because we've been traveling a lot lately. On Tuesday we traveled to Playon Chico..the island where our zone leaders work. We went on Tuesday to ensure that we would already be there by Wednesday morning when the mission president would fly in. Since we had to leave a day early, it basically just became a massive zone pday where we all hung out. We asked the zone leaders if we could go contact Playon but they said no since its also small and most are members. I had a good time hanging out with some friends I made in the MTC. Also, I caught a fish. Its small but I was the only one to catch one at zone conference. The day president came in was cool. He talked to us about the mission rules some more and did interviews. We showed president Current and his wife around Playon Chico. The look on President Currents face when she saw all the naked kids was priceless. haha! We also did a fireside later that day where we all announced to the entire island of the activity. Of course, 90% of the people that came were kids. ha! Thursday morning before going back to Ukupa I boarded one of the Columbian boats and bought some raw chicken. I can never find that in Ukupa. We went back to the house and cooked a ton of fried chicken. It was great. We worked a ton with our investigators this week. Did some service activities as well. The highlight of this week took place on Saturday. We had the BAPTISM of our investigator Fransisco. That was a really cool experience. He was really happy! After the baptism we went back to the house and fried some fish. Earlier that morning me, my comp, and the two Elders from Irgandi woke up at 5:30 AM and rented the village ponga to go fishing. Sadly, after a couple hours I still had nothing. The other 3 had more luck. My comp caught 2 fish, Elder Brimhall caught 1 fish, and Elder Stracener caught a fish and a 5 pound shark. I would have liked to catch a fish but I had a baptism so I wasn't sad. I did gut and fillet the fish and shark though. Yesterday I had a pretty cool experience. I was with my companion and felt impressed to contact one of the Ukupa school teachers. I had seen her before but never stopped to see if she would let us teach her. When I asked her if we could share a message she agreed. We sat down and talked about eternal families since it felt like the right thing to do. She admitted to us that shes having some family problems now and that it just so happens the last time missionaries tried to give her a lesson she was also going through a difficult time. She started crying and told us about how she had felt something so strong telling her the things were true. During both of these experiences. She told us she feels confident now these problems shes facing now will be overcome and wants to hear more. Were going to start visiting her now and giving the lessons. She seems to be a very positive new investigator. That to me was a very powerful experience. To be honest we didn't know where else to go. However, I felt there was someone that needed to hear our message so we just walked around until we stumbled across her. Well..That's pretty much it for this week. I hope all of you have a good week! Love you guys!"
